Description

KRC161753/1 4443 B1 B3 unit Ericsson

Radio 4443 krc161753/1 supports a wide range of mounting scenarios and provides flexibility
with One-bolt Installation. With addition of Radio Ericsson evolves the macro
radio part of its portfolio to become even more flexible and making it easier than
ever to create small and efficient single and multi-band radio installations.

Functionality: The RRU is responsible for handling radio frequency (RF) signals between the mobile devices and the core network. It communicates with the baseband unit (BBU) via fiber optic cables, typically over CPRI (Common Public Radio Interface). RRUs are often placed on towers or rooftops to improve coverage and capacity.

Multi-Band and Multi-Standard: The Ericsson  RRU is designed to support multiple frequency bands and radio access technologies. It is commonly used for 4G LTE and 5G NR (New Radio) deployments, allowing operators to offer services across different frequency ranges and technologies.

High Capacity: This unit supports high data throughput, making it suitable for modern, high-traffic environments where fast mobile data services are required.

Energy Efficiency: The Ericsson RRU features energy-efficient design to help mobile network operators reduce operational costs while ensuring high performance.

Scalability: As a part of Ericsson’s flexible network solution, the RRU can be easily scaled to meet growing network demand by adding more RRUs or expanding its coverage.

Compact Design: The unit is designed to be compact and lightweight, making it easy to install on rooftops, towers, or other infrastructure, without requiring much space.

Carrier Aggregation and MIMO: The RRU supports advanced features such as carrier aggregation (CA) for LTE and massive MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) for 5G, enabling higher throughput, improved capacity, and better network efficiency.

Radio supports GSM, WCDMA and
LTE standards as well as CAT-M and NB-
IoT. Radio is NR ready.
Four duplex (TX/RX) branches provide in-
built support for MIMO and TX/RX

diversity.
